ALAN MARASH - Chief Executive Officer

Alan Marash joined Oriel STAT A MATRIX in 1990 and has held many positions in the company during the past 20 years. Starting in sales, he drove 1000% growth in his first five years with the company. His early strategic plans for the company brought new business into more than 15 countries across the globe. Today, as CEO, his focus is on strategic planning and on managing key client relationships, partnerships, and global deployments. Like his father, Dr. Stanley Marash, Oriel STAT A MATRIX founder, Alan is committed to maintaining the company’s heritage of driving innovation and excellence in the area of performance improvement with the goal of helping customers reach the highest levels of success and profitability.

Alan holds a Master of Business Administration in management and finance from Fordham University, a Master of Science in quality management from Tampa College, and a Bachelor of Science in economics and finance from the University of Hartford. He is a Member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

ERNANI PIRES - President & Chief Technical Officer

Ernani Pires, a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, has facilitated quality and productivity improvement on corporate-wide projects using fact-based decision making and team building to achieve key organizational/business objectives. His 40-year work history spans numerous business improvement programs and projects in different functions, including sales and marketing, design and engineering, quality assurance, human resources, communications, operations, distribution, and internal training.

Ernani has assisted many organizations in improving corporate performance using the tools and techniques of Six Sigma and Lean and is an expert in using appropriate data collection and analysis methods to accelerate process improvement efforts.

MARTIN HEDLEY - COO, Oriel STAT A MATRIX Middle East

Martin Hedley has more than 30 years of industry experience providing leadership development and coaching, program management, and interim management services to deliver outstanding results for equity-backed and FTSE 250/Fortune 500 companies.

Martin is a Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and a Certified Facilitator/Coach. He is a senior member and past program chair, American Society for Quality, and a member of the Association of Professional Directors, British Institute for Nondestructive Testing, the British Business Group of Dubai and N Emirates, and the British-American Business Council of the Pacific Northwest. He is an Examiner for the NIST Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and a published author of one book (aviation) and several articles.

I. ROBERT MARASH - Executive Vice President

Bob Marash, Executive Vice President, has more than 40 years of experience in auditing and implementing quality management systems for ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA's) good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

Responsible for Oriel STAT A MATRIX's worldwide educational services, he has worked with various industries, iIncluding biologics, heavy equipment, nuclear, industrial chemicals, automotive, food, healthcare, computers, medical, photographic, filters, pharmaceuticals, electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, and defense.

Bob is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Fellow; observing U.S. delegate to ISO TC 176; past Executive Board Member of the International Auditor and Training Certification Association (IATCA); Registered Lead Auditor of the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA); Certified Quality System Lead Auditor of RABQSA; Past Chairman of the ASQ Biomedical Division and the Metropolitan Section; and Board Member of RAB-ACB.

AMITA SHERWOOD - Chief Subject Matter Expert Lean and Six Sigma

Amita Sherwood is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who has led many process improvement initiatives. She is also a continual improvement project leader who has trained and coached executive and staff and managed business processes to reduce costs and cycle time. She has used Six Sigma and Lean process improvement approaches to improve quality and service in information technology, financial services, and government organizations. Her experience is in leading and participating in cross-functional process improvement efforts, directing Six Sigma and Lean program deployments, and training and coaching project teams. Her specialty areas include facilitation and team skills and organizational change management.

MARGARET HARDING - Chief Subject Matter Expert Nuclear Related

Margaret Harding, certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, is a Certified Nuclear Quality Assurance Auditor who has applied her engineering design and business requirements experience to internal audits of procurement processes to reveal issues and offer solutions before major compliance misses occur. She has nearly 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry, most recently reviewing loss-of-coolant-accident (LOCA) analysis processes and providing contract review and advice for approaches to contracting in the nuclear industry. She has led nuclear compliance efforts for some of the largest global nuclear energy companies and has led numerous teams in new product development and process improvement, including improved delivery and costs and increased capacity.

Margaret is a Member of the American Nuclear Society and the Iowa State University Engineering College Industrial Advisory Council.

DIANE FAGLON - Chief Subject Matter Expert QMS

Diane Faglon is experienced in developing and implementing quality and business management systems, Lean and Six Sigma training, and quality initiatives in the telecommunications and technology industries, including auditing and auditor training. She has led U.S.- and European-based customer satisfaction measurement programs and supplier qualification initiatives for Lucent Technologies, as well as internal assessment and policy deployment processes for AT&T. Additionally, she has crafted numerous training programs related to the aerospace industry.

Diane is an active participant in numerous QuEST Forum programs and regional activities, and is a liaison participant in the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and the Americas Aerospace International Quality Group (AAQG).
