ISO 9001 > Overview

The ISO 9000 standards represent an international consensus on good management practices that apply to any industry or organization, whether manufacturing or service-based.

One aim of the standards is to define requirements on what constitutes an effective quality management system that can serve as the framework for continual improvement. The Standards were first published in 1987, and have since been adopted by more than 175 countries throughout the world.

Benefits of ISO 9001 Registration

  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and to customers, as well as a willingness to work toward improving effectiveness
  • Shows the existence of an effective quality management system that satisfies the rigors of an independent, external audit
  • Enhances the image of the company in the eyes of customers, employees, and
    shareholders alike
  • Facilitates international trade.
