Course Details Objectives Understand and apply advanced hypothesis testing procedures (analysis of variance and chi-square). Recognize the need for nonparametric hypothesis testing, and apply the most commonly used tests (Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, and Friedman). Understand and apply advanced regression procedures (multiple linear regression and binary logistic regression). Understand the value of experimentation and the impact it can have on product/process design and improvement. Conduct an in-class experiment to apply full factorial experimentation concepts. Understand when to apply fractional factorial and screening designs. Recognize the application of time series in business forecasting. Employ the concepts and tools learned with follow-along exercises using Minitab statistical software. Topics Parametric hypothesis testing Nonparametric hypothesis testing Multiple linear regression Design of Experiments (factorial, fractional factorial, and screening designs) Business forecasting using trends and seasonality Who Should Attend Professionals engaged in designing, improving, monitoring, and measuring processes in manufacturing, service, and transactional business environments. This course is a requirement for individuals who intend to achieve Corrective and Preventive Action and/or Applied Statistics and Process Performance Leader Certification within the Oriel STAT A MATRIX Certification Program.
